Description

This online course builds the knowledge and confidence workers need to recognise signs of abuse, neglect, exploitation and other reportable incidents, understand their responsibilities under the NDIS and respond appropriately when an incident or concern arises. Participants will explore real-world situations that may occur in disability support, including serious injury, abuse and neglect, sexual misconduct and the unauthorised use of restrictive practices. The course also covers what to do when someone discloses abuse, how to record and report concerns and the worker’s role within an organisation’s incident management process.
